Where Is The Kingdom Of God Located?

The Kingdom of God is located mainly in the hearts of people who are yielded to the Spirit of the Lord, although it is all around us as well. We just can’t see it until we are quickened.

Jesus said in Luke 17:20-21, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Human beings don’t just have a spirit. Humans are primarily spirits who just happen to be having an experience in this physical dimension.

God is the Father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9), so each one of us has come from Him. Since every human being is a spirit being, that means we all have something of God within us. This is the “seed” that God has placed in every person.

When God’s Spirit quickens an individual’s spirit, that is when a new life begins. At that moment the Kingdom of God comes to have residence in the heart. The Kingdom Seed sprouts and begins to grow, and will eventually bear fruit—thirty-fold, sixty-fold, and a hundred-fold.

As was mentioned, the Kingdom of God is also all around us. This is why the apostle Paul said to the pagan men of Athens,

“In Him we live, and move, and have our being”(Acts 17:28).

That use of the word we is the apostle’s all-inclusive we. He was including those pagan men as well as himself and all of God’s people.

The only place where mankind is alienated from God is in our own minds

(Colossians 1:21 says “ And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled),

and yet this is a significant alienation. Repentance involves changing our minds. Hence the need for being quickened (brought to life) by the operation of the Holy Spirit. Then, and only then, can we see the Kingdom of God being made real in our lives. May the grant you the grace come to this reality in Him. Shalom!
